J-Zone & The Zone

The Zone and J-Zone are our exciting new youth events which happen on alternate Fridays at Redland church halls.

J-Zone is for young people in school years 4-6 and runs from 6pm-7:30pm and The Zone follows directly after this from 7:30-9pm for those in school years 7-9.

Both J-Zone and The Zone are places where young people can have fun, make friends and get to know Jesus, through games, crafts and reflection on the week’s theme.  Take a look at our flyers on the home page to find when we are next running and come along!

Impact (Years 7 & 8)

Impact is our Sunday morning group for Years 7 & 8. It meets in the upstairs in the church halls at the same time as Morning Worship (10 – 11.30am) except on Family Service Sundays (first Sunday of the month).

Impact offers a relaxed and creative environment for young people to pursue their relationship with Jesus through fellowship with other believers and exploration of the Bible. A typical morning at Impact involves sharing with each other, learning together (using Bible passages, video clips and Q&A sessions), praying for others and a time of worship. And there are always  fun games and loads of chatter in between. We find creative ways to worship using music, singing, reading, drawing and modelling. Our aim is to encourage the young people to discover Jesus for themselves so that they can continue to engage with Him on their own.

CYFA (Years 9 – 13)

CYFA is our group for young people in school years 9 – 13. We meet together on Sunday evenings at 6pm and on alternate Monday evenings for Cell Groups.  Our sessions look different from week to week; we try to use a variety of media to help us learn more about living as Christians in today’s world.

CYFA members are involved in serving in many ways within the life of the church, including leading worship at Ignite, helping with Sunday School, organising a Christmas Café and being at the heart of our Chat-a-Box holiday club team. In recent years, members of CYFA helped run ‘Holiday at Home’ for seniors in our community.

We also go on a regular mission trip – recently, teams have visited Tanzania, Thailand and South Africa. These trips are a fantastic opportunity to see God at work in different cultures, to learn to serve, and to connect with Redland mission partners around the world.
