CHAT-A-BOX & C2 2018 - TEAMBUILDERS!

Having settled back into our fantastic new halls with Mission:Rescue 2 last summer, Chat-a-Box & C2 will hit the ground running once more on Monday 30 July. Our amazing holiday clubs for 7s to 11s (Years 2-6) and 11s to 13s (Years 7 & 8) are back at Redland Parish Church from Monday 30 July to Sunday 5 August. This year the theme is Teambuilders, so get your head in the game and remember - we’re all in this together!

In the mornings between 10am and 12 noon there will be drama, activities, stories, music and games all based on the Teambuilders theme. In the afternoons between 2pm and 4pm we will have a range of activities including climbing, horse-riding, den building, drama, football, crafts, cricket, tennis and many, many more! See below for the full list.

On Wednesday all day we will be going to the ever-popular Cattle Country as a group. We would love all Chat-a-Box children to come to this as it is always a super day out, but please note there is an extra charge. And on Friday between 6pm and 8pm there’s the Hot Dog BBQ & Bounce and fabulous Chat-a-Box Disco, to which parents and siblings are warmly invited. Saturday is a day off to give our team players time for some rest and recovery before we finish the week with our Chat-a-Box family service in the Church Halls on Sunday at 10am followed by ice-creams.

C2 2018

C2 is our holiday club for young people currently in school years 7 and 8. It will be running on a similar theme (but at a level more appropriate for the older age group) and, like last year, its timings are the same as Chat-a-Box’s. C2 will start each day in the main hall with Chat-a-Box, then break off for its own morning activities and finish the morning back in the hall with Chat-a-Box, so that no-one misses the legendary Chat-a-Box drama! Like Chat-a-Box, C2 will break for lunch at 12 o’clock and resume at 2pm for afternoon activities until 4pm. No supervision is provided during this lunchtime period, so C2 young people should leave the site and return home for lunch or you should make other lunchtime arrangements for them.

C2 will be spending all day Wednesday at Mojo Active outdoor adventure centre with all sorts of activities from climbing to orienteering, zip wire and tunnel maze.

On Friday, we will finish at 12.00 noon and in the evening there will be an end of week party between 6pm and 8pm.

Booking

Bookings open at 9am on Monday 14 May 2018. While there are still places available, links to the booking forms for Chat-a-Box and C2 will appear at the top of this page. Payment can be made online via PayPal. You won’t need a PayPal account, just a credit or debit card.

Please note that in line with similar holiday clubs you may have booked for your children, you will be asked for an e-signature to confirm your booking and acceptance of our terms & conditions, rather than our previous practice of asking you to print off the confirmation email for signature and return to us to confirm the booking. If you would prefer to sign a physical booking form or have problems with the online booking or signature, let us know and we’ll let you have a form to sign to confirm your booking.

IMPORTANT: If your child has a medical condition that we need to be aware of and/or will require medication to be administered during Chat-a-Box/C2 you must indicate this in the Medical Information & Medicines section of the online booking form and complete the relevant details. Our Medical Leader may then contact you for further information if needed.

If you have any queries about Chat-a-Box or C2, please contact us at redlandchatabox@gmail.com

Data Protection & Privacy

The new General Data Protection Regulation requires us to let you know how we use and look after your data (see below). It also requires children aged 13 and over to give their consent for us to hold and use their data which is why the C2 booking form requires e-signatures from children aged 13 as well as their parent.

By adding your e-signature and submitting the Chat-a-Box or C2 booking form you are confirming your consent for the details submitted to be kept confidentially by the Chat-a-Box/C2 team for the period from booking until the end of Chat-a-Box/C2. All booking & medical details that are submitted will be kept in accordance with Redland Parish Church’s Data Privacy Policy and used by the Chat-a-Box/C2 team in order to plan and run Chat-a-Box/C2 and keep all attendees safe. Additionally, name, age, address, and email information may also be retained for 12 months and used by the RPC Children & Families team to keep you informed of future Chat-a-Box/C2 holiday clubs and other relevant events & activities.

Photos and video clips of children at Chat-a-Box/C2 may be used on this website and/or email or printed communications about the church’s activities. No children will be identified by name in any such photograph or video. We also produce a video of the week’s activities which will be shown at the Family Service at the end of the week and made available as a download to all attendees and their families following Chat-a-Box/C2, again no children will be identified by name in this video.
